Emerald Dream

Got a head full of worries that keep trailing behind me
Tripping up my footsteps as I lose sense of time
Got no reason to worry
Got no reason to hide
From this irresistible morning
Breaking before my eyes.

I want to feel a little sun on face
Take a little ride to another place
Going to lift the covers of the same old scene
Jump ship to my Emerald dream.

With the smirk of the devil
Sitting on Grafton Street
Throw a silver coin and he may do as you please.
I got to find my own angle
I got to find my catch phrase
Just to brush off that devil and make my own way.

I want to feel a little sun on face
Take a little ride to another place
Going to lift the covers of the same old scene
Jump ship to my Emerald dream.

So why do I linger?
Why do I stall?
When I feel like leaping all I do is crawl.
Some days Im cynical
Some days I waste
Some days the wrong turn can lead to the right place.
